Learning Objective
I can tell the difference between my point of view and the narrator's point of view in a story.
- 1
In a story told from third person, the narrator is outside of the story, but in a story told from first person the narrator is a character in the story.
- 2
A first person story creates closeness between the reader and the narrator, while a third person narrator is necessarily a bit removed from the characters.
- 3
In second person, the narrator addresses the story to the reader using the word 'you'.
