Reading Passage
How to Organize Your Desk
A clean desk helps you learn! A messy desk makes it hard to find things. It is hard to find pencils or homework. Let's make your desk neat and tidy. First, take everything off your desk. Put all your books, papers, and supplies in a pile. Look at each item. Does it belong on your desk? Or does it go somewhere else? Next, sort your things. Put all your pencils together. Put all your crayons together. Stack your books neatly. Throw away any trash. This means old papers or broken crayons. Now, put things back in their proper places. Pencils can go in a cup. Crayons can go in a box. Books can go on a shelf. Or they can go in a cubby. Keep only what you need for school on your desk. A tidy desk makes it easy to work. You will know where everything is. You can find your things fast. A clean desk helps you do your best schoolwork!
