Learning Objective
I can create a short stop motion animation using principles of animation.
- 1
According to Disney's twelve principles of animation, timing is a key principle because action won’t make sense without it.
- 2
When animating a car driving across the frame at 12 frames per second for 1.5 seconds, it will take 18 frames, and to make the movement smooth, use precise measurements for each frame.
- 3
To make impacts feel powerful, the frame before the impact should have the vehicles moving the greatest distance, and to make movement feel more natural, offset the timing of a move.
